The House System

The House System

In St. Patrick’s College, we believe in fostering a sense of belonging, teamwork, leadership and healthy competition among our students. Our House System is designed to create a supportive and inclusive environment that enhances the educational experience and personal growth of every student.
Each house comprises students from various year groups,  which encourages all our students to work together, support one another, and take pride in their house.
Our Houses
At St. Patrick’s College, we have six  vibrant houses, each with its own unique identity. These houses are:
  • Hope- encouraging feelings of expectation for success to happen connected to our Therapy assist dog
  • Faith- having complete trust or confidence in school looking after you and we all look after each other. Its also about our faith/ethos as a CCMS school
  • Joy- building on feelings of happiness- attending school is joyful and learning is an enjoyable experience
  • Honour- The quality of knowing and doing what is morally right.- The action of fulfilling (an obligation) or keep (an agreement).
  • Grace-creating courteous good will and in bringing honour or credit to SPC by one’s attendance or participation
  • Wisdom- promising experience, knowledge, and good judgement; the quality of being wise. based on sensible or wise thinking
House Activities
Throughout the school year, houses compete in a variety of events and activities, including:
  • Academic Competitions: Quizzes, and debates,.
  • Sports Tournaments: Inter-house matches, and relay activities in various sports.
  • Arts and Culture: Talent shows, art competitions exhibitions, and cultural performances.
  • Community Service: Environmental projects, and volunteer work.

House Leadership
Each house is led by a team of Post 16 House Captains, who are selected for their leadership qualities and dedication to their house. These student leaders play a crucial role in organizing events, motivating their peers, and representing their house in the school community.

Joining your house is just the beginning. We encourage all students to actively participate in house events, contribute their talents, and take advantage of the many opportunities to make lasting memories and build lifelong skills.
