Meet Hope

Meet our School Therapy Dog Hope. Hope is located in the Nurture Room of our school and she works with pupils on a one to one basis. She has been such an exciting and valuable addition to our school community and has brought a lot of comfort, joy and smiling faces to the students of St Patrick’s College. Hope works to reduce the stress of students and create a relationship with them that is built on trust, companionship and mutual understanding. The students who work with Hope often require additional support at different times in their lives and Hope has loved getting to know them and build these relationships with many of the students saying she has been their ‘lucky charm’. She also plays an important role in school events such as Sports Day and House competitions.

In March 2022 Hope graduated from PAWS Therapy Dog School and received her qualification. Hope continues her work with PAWS and has annual assessments to make sure she is the best she can be. We can’t wait to watch what Hope and her students achieve in the years to come.
