Celebrating Outstanding GCSE Success

St Patrick’s College, Dungannon is proud to celebrate the exceptional achievements of its Year 12 students in this year’s GCSE examinations.

An impressive 96% of pupils achieved five or more GCSEs at grades A–C*, with 86% securing A–C in English Language and 61% in Mathematics. Overall, 79% of all grades awarded were A–C*, reflecting the dedication and hard work of students and staff alike.

These results open doors to a wide range of Post 16 opportunities, including A Level study, apprenticeships, and employment pathways. The College community, together with families, is delighted to mark this milestone in the students’ educational journey.

Principal Mrs Catherine McHugh praised the cohort’s commitment and success:

“This group of students deserve great credit. The teaching and support staff are incredibly proud of their achievements. They worked diligently both in the classroom and through the many enrichment and extra-curricular opportunities available at St Patrick’s College.

These young people have developed not only academic skills but also the skills and personal capabilities needed to thrive in the next stage of their lives. Whether they are progressing to A Levels, apprenticeships, further education, or entering the workforce, they do so with confidence and determination.

We are especially pleased to welcome many of them back to continue their studies at Post 16, and we look forward to supporting them as they pursue their future career aspirations.”

Post-16 interviews are currently underway, and students from other local post-primary schools are warmly invited to apply. To arrange a meeting, please contact the school office.
